Soar high
on the wind, take in the beautiful countryside views, and experience the
true meaning of flight! The Hawke's Bay Gliding club invites you to come
and try this safe, exciting, and relatively cheap sport. Trial flights
are available with no previous experience required. With the help of our
qualified instructors, and with practice, you could be soaring for
hours. There is no other feeling
like circling in a thermal, with a graceful falcon keeping you
company.
It's a birds life.
Now that spring is
here, the weather is becoming more suitable for soaring, and it is a
great time to get into the sky. The club operates on
fine Sundays and public holidays from Hastings Aerodrome (Bridge Pa).
Other flying days can be arranged and we accept bookings for groups. See below

Club equipment
includes a Champion Citabria 150hp tow ship, a K13 2 seat trainer
and a lovely Grob 103 Twin Astir. These three aircraft serve as the
backbone of club flying, with numerous privately owned ships also
regularly in use.
