Surprise Visitor.

The sky had darkened very heavily this Saturday afternoon as the first winter blast of 2008 moved over Hastings. I had the camera ready for action, but was expecting to have to go chasing the darkest storm clouds to get any good shots. However, I never had to leave the house! This shot was right from my back door. The almost transparent funnel touched down, kicking up debris, less than two hundred metres away in a park. I was happy it only lasted for about 20 seconds before breaking up. Photo details: Canon 350D, ISO 800, 1/1250th second exposure with a Sigma 18-200mm lens @ f-6.3.
