The Tale Of The Light.

Light is a thing we take for granted, yet it lets us see the world around us, and it gives us information about that which we can't reach. Each element gives off its own signature, allowing us to 'see' what an object is made of. I was playing with some $2 spectroscopic glasses one evening and had an idea... Holding them in front of the camera lens, I fired a shot and got the result. Resembling a brightly lit diamond, we see the light signature of our star, reflected of the moon. Science can be so simple. Photo details: Canon 350D, ISO 1600, 1/160th second exposure with a Sigma 28-300mm DC lens @ f-3.5.
