"Man's Best Friend"

The association between humans and dogs
goes back to a time when the first tribes moved onto the grassy plains
of Africa. Brought together about the safety of camp fires and food,
wild dogs became guards and eventually, companions. The very social
'pack' nature of dogs, allowed them to quickly adapt to a life of
serving and benefiting from human fellowship. Buddy, pictured here, may
be a far cry from a wild African dog, but with a face like this, who
could resist his friendship? Photo details: Canon 350D, ISO 1600, 1/10th
second exposure with a Sigma DG 20mm lens @ f-1.8.
