Stone Sanctuary.

In 1935, the first stones were laid for the 'Church Of The Good Shepard.' There was no shortage of building materials, as the church was constructed on the terminal moraine of Lake Tekapo's ancient glacier. Each stone was selected for size and shape so that no cutting was required. It was a jig-saw puzzle thousands of years in the making.
