Space Weather Images.

The first time I ever remember seeing the Aurora Australis (southern lights) was back in March 2001. I had no idea what to expect when they became visible, or even that they could be seen from where I lived. The experience was simply amazing, and the pursuit of the lights has now become one of my favourite aspects of astronomy. The images below hint at what they are like, but cannot tell of their true beauty or the sense of awe they can induce when seen in person.

If you would like printed copies of any of these images, see my commercial site or contact me at graham@grahampalmer.com.
